Tax Time is Here Again-Where is the Money Going?

Organizing and Cleaning Tips and Hints

Within this passed week, we have been told about the chances of Medicare going bankrupt, not enough money left for prescription drugs for the elderly and our veterans being treated in substandard hospitals; so where did the money go?

Why is it that the populous of the United States has to atone to the government for every penny that we make and all of the money that we spend, but we aren't given the same accounting?

I for one, a taxpayer, would now like to know where my money is going and how much of it is being spent frivolously. I have a few questions for government- ALL of government; just so they cannot shift the blame again!

  1. What is being taken out of the Social Security fund and where is it going- who gets it, how much do they get and how often do they get it?
  2. Why is it that the government has a great health care plan and the people of the United States can't get one just like it? Isn't there a group policy for us or at the very least-the elderly?
  3. Why is it that bills manage to be passed in the middle of the night and they are usually the ones with pay raises for government officials?
  4. Why are government officials allowed to use government planes when we have empty seats on other planes? Did they ever figure out how much money would be saved deducting the fuel, cost of maintenance, pilots, crew etc.
compared to the price of a ticket; plus keeping businesses profitable?
  5. Why is it that we 'find' money for other countries and we have people that have to choose between paying a bill and buying food in our country?
  6. What is going on with rebuilding the southeastern US after the effects of Katrina, tornados and hurricanes? Why are people being evicted from Fema trailers and have no place to go? Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that in the United States , we help each other and there is government money (or is it lost) that is used to help rebuild. Or does rebuilding only happen in other countries? By the way; Are the levies fixed?
  7. Why is it that we have laws that are not enforced; why did we write them?
  8. Does the government own a dictionary and know how to use it?
The word ‘Illegal’ means against the law, not authorized by law; illicit; not sanctioned by official rules. Maybe that should be brought up before congress, we could have a study on;what part of ‘NO’ don't you understand? By the way, you also don’t reward people for being illegal either!
  9. Why don't we try something new and keep jobs in the United States so 'WE THE PEOPLE' don’t become an under-privileged country?
  10. Why is it that no other country changes their books, newspapers or verbal media to different languages? I always thought that 'proud to be an American' meant that you were a citizen, deserved the rights of a citizen, learned the Pledge of Allegiance in English and received this country as your own. Why do people come here if they don't want to JOIN in the freedoms we fight to protect?
Yes, tax time is here again and once again, we pay for all the conveniences of the 'Free' world.

However, it would be nice if the country wasn't in debt up to their necks, ALL of the citizens had medical that they could afford and get their medication, All people had a job that they could make enough money to 'live' on and support their families (just think of all of the government funding for programs we would save), Every penny of the money used by government, was actually accounted for and The people all talked a language (English) that everyone could understand.

Maybe we could have a study to look into this and by the year 3000 it could be implemented! I am sure that we can get the money someplace, maybe we could borrow it or there should be something that we could add a tax to!

Well a good article with some interesting points. Well first of all we have to understand many do not pay taxes. Secondly we are borrowing faster then we collect it. Third much of the money collected goes to interest payments on debt to China and the like. Fourth, do you really know how much illegal workers consume? Fifth, the war eats up a good chunk and 6th , just to stop because of space, pork barrel spending gets a chunk. In my opinion one could write a book or two on the topic but the facts are so blatent you would most likely give up before it was finished. The average persons pays taxes, upon taxes while the rich, while it may seem like a lot, uses the loop holes well. All I can say is "It's a Lollie Pop World".
