Organizing and Cleaning Tips and Hints
We all find that 'time' seems to run our lives;
Work Schedules
Appointments
Committee meetings, clubs, Organizations
Making Supper
Cleaning etc.
We eventually run out of time to relax, enjoy our families and 'smell the roses' so to speak. This can be causing physical and mental harm to our bodies as well as mental anguish.
How do we manage to get back on track and give ourselves the time we need for ourselves?
We have to 'simplify' ourselves!
Do you remember back when your life was simple and you seemed to have time for everything that you wanted to do? Doesn't that seem like that was decades ago? We have to simplify our lives by getting rid of the clutter that is taking over and re-evaluate ourselves by finding out what are true priorities really are.
Just recently, due to the death of an immediate family member, I have done just that. I had to put my life on hold and concentrate on the situation that was happening. It meant canceling meetings, not going on the computer to update the website, changing appointments, that were now set at my convenience, the housecleaning was ignored and my priorities were set.
Unbelieveably, not one club or organization folded because I wasn't there, no one closed there office because I had to change an appointment, the house didn't blow up because it wasn't clean and the outside world went on as usual.
Figure out what your priorities are and work your life around it. It is as simple as that. So you miss a meeting or two, what if your appointments are scheduled for only two days a week instead on one or two a day for every day of the week? No one will care and it will reduce the clutter in your life by 75% at least. Get rid of all of those things that you signed up to do and now have to fit in somewhere on your schedule.
Stress and frustration relief, is what you will get as a bonus, mental and physical relaxation will be a good feeling to your body and your family won't have to look at a picture to remember what you look like.
Your priority in life will return to living and you will become a better person for it.

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)'Time' seems to run our lives. We have scheduled work hours, we have appointments with doctors, dentists, lawyers, and accountants, we have family and home obligations, and we volunteer our free time to our church, our children's school, fraternal organization and our political party. We find the time for every thing and every body except ourselves. The first paragraph should lead right in to the essay. A list of a few words is not a good substitute. You can do it too. You have lots of good ideas. Find the run-on near the end of your essay. Make separate sentences. Good luck!
