Organizing and Cleaning Tips and Hints

We have set up restrictions to air space, checked millions of pieces of luggage, did background checks on people, but are we safe? Isn't there more that we can do to keep America safe? Are the rules that are in place being followed? We just heard the other day about a plane making it into a zone that it shouldn't have been in, totally undetected until it managed to get to the point of being able to cause great harm. How many times a day in how many different states in the U.S. does this happen?

Are we stringent enough with passports? Do we check people allowed in our country? What about people that come from other countries through church groups, organizations and associations that we presume we are trying to help and get out of harms way, are they checked too?

We constantly say that we have an agency or agencies to take care of this and that it is up to them to check into everything. What about us, the citizens of the United States? Don't we have an obligation to control our own streets, to report things to the police that seem out of the ordinary?

This country belongs to the citizens, we pay taxes, we make the laws and it is up to each and everyone of us to see to it that the laws are abided by for everyone. Some complain that government isn't doing enough to keep things under control. This may be true, but the cost will be higher taxes, which none of us want to pay. Doesn't it make sense that if we have 50,000 people in a town and 50,000 pairs of eyes watching and a finger that knows how to dial a phone, that we don't need additional people on our police departments?

The days of 'not getting involved' are over with, it is a new era, a new breed of people and in order to change with the times, a new way of keeping our country safe. WE THE PEOPLE need to take on the responsibilities of protecting ourselves and loved ones by making law enforcement aware of things out of the ordinary.

Are we safer now? I don't think any of us really knows for sure because there are so many reports that contradict each other, but we can make sure that we have joined together to help protect the United States, OUR COUNTRY.

Jan. the answer is no we are not safer now. We have been lucky. In fact not much has changed in the way of security since 9/11 except they check you baggage at airports. Over 3000 illegal workers crossing the border each day and few concerned. they use illegal ID. your ID offshore in the hands of foreign workers. You don;t think so then you just don;t know. Truck drivers from a foreign nation given complete access through our borders with no check, open ports owned and operated by foreign natinals, many from nations who hate our way of life. Our military is reduced to a shambles in manpower and equipment, the National Guard struggling to hold on. I can continue but if you read my writings you know exactly what I mean. No, in my opinion, we are woefully inadequate when it comes to safety. Many laugh and sneer but then again I hope I am wrong and they right. Good article.
